Our cycling Gorilla Gardening Adventure around the city is full of biological interventions that will help Auckland transition towards becoming the safest city in the world for bees.
Take off is this Saturday 27th at 10 am at Griffith Gardens at 42 Wellesley Street East ( just beside the Civic and Mojo Cafe).
1.Planting a mini orchard at Griffith Gardens.
2. Inoculate garden beds and the lawn with Micorrhizal Fungi at Albert park
3. Sowing seeds for spring flowers at Symonds Street Community Garden.
4.Painting biodynamic tree pastes onto fruit trees at Kingsland Community Orchard.
5. Playing a game to identify the names of plants at the Pollinator Pathway in Hakanoa Street.
6.Planting Willows trees at at Kelmarna Gardens as a means to feed their cows and bees.
We will bike to tunes about nature and share a picnic beneath the orchard in Kingsland along the way.
