Oscar Perress Furness-Wills

is a final year high school student at Western Springs College Nga Puna O Waiorea.  He is the founder of the Western Springs Project, aiming to reinvent school pride through the development of community with in his school rather than through competition and hierarchical success. Through the natural processes of team work and support, he aims to create a community hub within his school that every body can be proud of, no matter what their contribution to the project was or is. Oscar's interests lie predominantly in design fields, with work in graphic design through to fashion and textile design. With the overlap of design mediums in combination with philosophies and principles gained  from other fields, Oscar tries to create products and bodies of work that not only have visual aesthetic appeal but also have more practical appeal in a societal context also.
