Biological Pollinator Sanctuary Brochure
This brochure gives you a quick background on the relationship between microbes, plants and pollinators. It then gives you a number of tips to make your space safe for pollinators and has a list of things to plant, courtesy of Trees for Bees NZ. Plan what you will plant each month to ensure there's plenty of flowers to forage from.
Clay Seed Ball Sheet
This sheet gives you ingredients and instructions to create seed balls - also known as seed bombs. This is a fun way to plant and ensures your seeds have everything they need to start strong. A great activity for kids and can be great to sell for fundraisers. Or share them freely!
Pasture Painting sheet
This sheet gives you step by step instruction to create your own Pasture Painting, which is an easy way to activate grass area into a mini contained meadow for pollinators to feed from year round. You may have seen our pasture paintings in Victoria and Myers Park.
Pollinator Sanctuary Sign for your group
We have a number of communities who have come to us expressing their desire to turn their space into a Biological Pollinator Sanctuary. You can get an idea of what is entailed in becoming such a sanctuary in the brochure above. We have a tool in development that will go more into depth about the many regenerative actions you can take - keep an eye out for that. If you are keen to join The Great Pollinator Patchwork as a group, we welcome you to contact us and we will help you and present you with this sign you can proudly display.
