Taarati Taiaroa is an Auckland based artist, educator and writer with a conceptually driven practice
that often utilises archives to investigate small narratives and systems. A graduate of the University of Auckland, Taiaroa holds Masters degrees in both Fine Arts and Museums and Cultural Heritage and is a lecturer in Creative Arts at Manukau Institute of Technology.
Taiaroa conceptualised and initiated The Park (2014-2015) in collaboration with Sarah Smuts Kennedy. The legacy of The Park, its Pasture Paintings and kaupapa continues to flourish in the For the Love of Bees. You can learn more about The Park here.
Taiaroa continues to support the development of For the Love of Bees as a social sculpture, while working on her own practice.
